چکیده
Abstract Wadi Aidib lie at southern part of the Eastern Desert Egypt, between 22° 15’ - 21’ N and Longitudes 36° 20’ 30’ E, covering an area about 30km2. It is covered by basement rocks dissected several wadies, as a main wadi with tributaries. Constant channel maintenance showed dissection studied basin lineaments, fractures joints, minimized in Aidib. Landsat ETM+ false color composite image (bands 3, 2, 1) The rock types wide spread out contains metavolcanics, alkali feldspar granites, quartz diorites, biotite granites metasediments. Heavy liquid separation magnetic techniques addition to microscopic examination for stream sediment samples were applied. mineral resource tonnage each concerned economic 171.315 ilmenite; 93.150, magnetite; 25.110, zircon; 9.720, total rutile; 7.695, garnet; 1.215, monazite 810.000 green silicates, thousands tons. sediments are measured radiometrically using gamma-ray spectrometer determination radionuclides contents. The Wadi Hodein area contains a wide variety of late Precambrian igneous and metamorphic rocks, represented by gneisses, serpentinites, metagabbros, metasediments, metavolcanics, metagabbro-diorite, granodiorite and granitoids. The Wadi Hodein metavolcanics (WHV), including G. Khashab and G. El Anbat, represent one of the significant metavolcanic suites in the southern part of the Nubian Shield...

Utilization of the digital Landsat TM bands for automatic lineaments extraction and selection of the optimum bands are the main objects of this article. The classical method for lineament extraction was manually performed through aerial photographs and satellite imagery. Nowadays several commercial softwares are developed to deal with the automatic linear features extraction using the optical a...
متن کاملPetrological and mineralogical studies of Pan-African serpentinites at Bir Al-Edeid area, central Eastern Desert, Egypt
The studied serpentinites occur as isolated masses, imbricate slices of variable thicknesses and as small blocks or lenses incorporated in the sedimentary matrix of the mélange. They are thrusted over the associated island arc calc-alkaline metavolcanics and replaced by talccarbonates along shear zones. Lack of thermal effect of the serpentinites upon the enveloping country rocks, as well as th...

Abu Hamamid (AH) Neoproterozoic (Sm/Nd model age of 770 ± 20 Ma) mafic–ultramafic intrusion lies along a NE–SW fracture zone in the Shadli Metavolcanic Belt, south Eastern Desert, Egypt. AH intrusion is concentrically zoned with cumulate clinopyroxenebearing dunite core mantled by olivine clinopyroxenite, hornblende clinopyroxenite and hornblende gabbroic rim. The observed crystallization seque...

The Wadi Dib magmatic complex is the oldest known alkaline ring complex in the Egyptian part of the Pan-African orogenic belt. Rb-Sr isotope data for seven samples suggest a Vendian age of 578=k16 Ma, and a 87Sr/S6Sr initial ratio of 0.7048±0.0010. The igneous complex has a diameter of 2 km and was emplaced within granodioritic Pan-African host rocks at the intersection of two faults. It shows ...
